An Empath's guide to the holidays
This is such a magical period of each year. It happens to be one of my favorite times of year- HOLIDAY SEASON.
This time of year can harbor many mixed emotions, especially from empaths. Because of this there are really 3 types of empaths.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 3 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭:
1 ❤ the holidays and LEANS in.
2 Tolerates 🤷🏻♀️ the holidays and participates.
3 🏃🏻♀️ from the holidays.
During the holiday season, social media can be overwhelming due to “📸 perfect” images curated & shared.
Here is a secret 🤫 picture perfect moments happen but if you were to press record during Thanksgiving gatherings, there is more than meets the eye.
Not everything is bright and cheery. In fact, it can be quite the opposite for many empaths.
✨ Empaths can read a room, instantly tell what kind of tone is set and act accordingly.
As an empath you fall into ☝🏼 event category:
👉🏼 Wanting everyone who is attending to have a great experience
👉🏼 Wanting everyone to feel included; even if this means baking special dishes or preparing dishes for only one person.
👉🏼 Look at small details to ensure everything goes smoothly
👉🏼 Attend an event due to familial obligation
👉🏼 Try to feasibly attend each invitation sent so as not to hurt family members feelings.

👉🏼 Craves a relaxing evening free of family drama
👉🏼 Or, can have hardcore FOMO
There is so much energetic & emotional information being downloaded and projected which leads to an Empath Hangover.
Whether you as attend, avoid or host an event, an Empath:
👉🏼 Truly tries to stay present and give 💯 to be there.
👉🏼 is the family Therapist for the drama.
👉🏼 Sees all of the raw emotions of packing families together in small quarters
There is ☝🏼 thing that keeps an empath thriving during the Holiday Season though and that is: CONNECTION.
On a deeper level, connecting with people who mean something to us is crucial. Being an empath at the core is connecting to people. Plugging in to the energy that surrounds us and hopefully uplifts us. When we attend or host an event that have people that bring out negative energy it really can affect the mood of an empath.
So, with that being said 𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒:
𝟓 𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲
💜 Hold on to that love for connection- just because you love connecting doesn't mean you have to avoid all events, but you are 💯 in control of what conversations you partake in, who you sit with, and what you consume.
💜 Set your boundaries/protection- call forth your guides, God, angels and ancestors to cover you from those seeking to drain you.
💜 Take 10 deep breaths throughout the day when you feel overwhelmed or step out of a busy room to a quiet one.
💜 Avoid consuming too much alcohol- by drinking too much, this allows your energy field to be easily available for energy Vampires.
💜 Diffuse/apply an essential oil grounding blends
BONUS: keep your phone on do not disturb. Set it aside, take photos yes, but be present. If we tuck our heads in to the devices when others are around us, we give everyone else the power to influence our energy field.
