STOP 🚫 Torturing yourself over negative Socials.
As an empath, everything with a meaning is absorbed 🧽; whether it is written, verbal or expressed intention.
Words are powerful; now they say “Sticks and stone may break my bones, but words will never hurt me”. This is a load of bullshit when it comes to being an empath.
Words very much have a way of impacting your day and getting you to be in all sorts of emotions 😠 from all sides, especially when individuals are being down right mean, judgmental or unjust.
It is very important that as an empath you know you have the ability to take control of how much you let into your energy field. 💫
𝟑 𝗪𝐀𝐘 𝐓𝐎 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐀 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐓𝐇𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏 𝗪𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐌𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐀
1️⃣ 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞
This doesn’t mean you can’t ever access your social media account, but removing the app from easy access forces you to actively seek out intentional negative content.
2️⃣ 𝐒𝐞𝐭 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐧𝐨 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲
Whether that means uninstalling apps from your phone for the weekend or placing them into “hidden” folders and consciously not responding to notifications during your “break period” to allow for the mental fog of social media to clear your mind.
3️⃣ 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐚𝐩𝐩 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
Go to your system and app settings to turn off the push notifications that are constantly bombarding your phone reminding you to drop what you’re doing and make them a priority.
Drop a 🤯 if you’re struggling to have a good relationship with socials.
