Empaths are very sensitive, sweet souls. They see the good in everyone & everything that comes across their path. ⁣

Narcissists are the very antithesis of empaths. They can be very self-serving, egotistical, & insensitive. ⁣

Yet it doesn't start that way. ✨⁣

At first, a narcissist is many things, but their true selves. ⁣

🗣 Powerful ⁣

🗣 Intoxicating⁣

They come in many forms or types of relationships ⁣

➡️ Friend⁣

➡️ In-laws ⁣

There are so many kinds of relationships both platonic & romantic where empaths are drawn in to help the narcissist. ⁣

The narcissist always takes freely, with no intent of giving. ⁣

⁣

𝐌𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐞 🔥; 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭. ⁣

We all know how well the moth fairs with flames. An empath fairs just as well as the moth. ⁣

Repeatedly returning to the source of "light" so bright, yet fake, that it will cause itself undue damage physically and mentally. ⁣

☣ Set boundaries and stay firm in them; even when the narcissist turns on their charm 😉 ⁣
